My Roles in the IT World

With many years of experience in IT, I help companies create usable and well-functioning solutions. I work both hands-on in agile teams and as a leader in testing and requirements work. I also enjoy sharing my knowledge through training and lectures.

Tester in Agile Teams

As a tester in an agile team, I plan, execute, and evaluate tests throughout the entire development cycle. I translate requirements into concrete test cases and work closely with everyone in the team to ensure quality in the final delivery. This may include functional testing, performance, security, or usability. Since the agile development process is iterative, developing automated tests is a central part of the work.

Test Lead and Test Strategist

In this role, I’m responsible for leading the testing effort. I help create strategies and test plans that define what should be tested, how the testing should be carried out, when it should be performed, and who is responsible for it. During the test phase, I coordinate activities, follow up on results, and report deviations to the right people. The role involves engagement throughout the entire process — from planning to follow-up.

Requirements Analyst

As a requirements analyst, I serve as the link between the business side and IT. I capture business needs through interviews and workshops, and define clear requirements documented in specifications. These act as guidance for developers and testers, ensuring that the final result meets business goals and delivers the intended value.

Trainer and Speaker

As a trainer and speaker, I share insights from 25 years in the IT field. I’ve taught courses in areas such as test methodology, test design, test management, requirements engineering, and introductory programming. I also give lectures and shorter seminars for companies, spreading knowledge about effective ways of working and practical solutions.
